Robert "Doug" Morgan

Robert Douglas “Doug” Morgan, 74, of Black Mountain passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Fleshers Fairview Health Care Center.

Doug was born on June 6, 1951, to the late Carl Robert Morgan and Frances Juanita King Morgan. Doug was a 1970 graduate of Enka High School and faithful member of Emma Heights Church of God in Asheville. He was an avid fisherman.

In addition to his mother, Doug is survived by his sister, Robbie Briggs, brother Roger Morgan (Vicki) and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service honoring Doug will be held on Sunday, February 8,2026 at 2:00 pm at Emma Heights Church of God, 643 Emma Road in Asheville with Rev. Lewis Melton and Rev. Jim MacDonald officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Emma Heights Church of God or Four Seasons Hospice, 571 South Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.
