John Blair Hutton, Jr.



John Blair Hutton Jr., 76, passed away on September 12, 2016, at the Solace Center/Hospice in Asheville, NC. He was born in Atlantic City, NJ, on November 30, 1939. He is the son of the late John Blair Hutton and Elizabeth Chamberlain Hutton. <?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

John was raised in Miami, Fl. He graduated from Coral Gables High School, then went on to attend The University of Miami. He served in The Coast Guard Reserve for several years. He was married to and is survived by the love of his life, Virginia Cassavella Hutton for over 51 years.

John was a dedicated and well-loved employee at Publix Super Market’s Miami warehouse for 31 years. When he retired on June 11, 1999, he and Virginia travelled to Western and Eastern Europe and Africa, as well as Hawaii and Alaska. In 2003, John and Virginia moved to Fairview Forest in Asheville, NC, and were members of The Basilica of St. Lawrence. John loved the mountains, fresh air and southern hospitality. He also cherished family visits when meals were shared and priceless memories created.

John is also survived by three children including John B Hutton III, Francine H Williams (David), and George J Hutton (Jill). Seven grandchildren including Hannah, Gareth, Ian, Alia, Gwyneth, Zachary and Gianna. He is survived by his sister, Una Hutton (Mark), and his nieces and nephewDanielle (Lawrence), Carly (Chip), and Craig (Emma).

A celebration of life mass will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church in Miami, Fl, on September 24th at 2:30 pm.
